Sunday Night Chit-Chat

What are you…

Cooking/Baking…

We had Jerked Pork Roast, Lemon Basmati Rice, and tossed salad for dinner.  Love cooking the pork roast in the Jerk sauce, it’s tasty

Watching/Reading…

We were supposed to watch Once Upon A Time but it is pre-empted because of the AMA’s (Amazing Race is on instead).  I usually watch Sister Wives on Sunday nights…I love the Brown family!

Listening To…

Allen (one of our 11 year olds) NOT doing the dishes…we just called him down because he seemed to have forgotten that it was his dish night.  He’s deciding that tormenting the littles was a more appropriate activity…sigh…

Looking Forward to this week…

Next Saturday evening is my annual Girls Christmas party.  Amy and I get together with our girlfriends and exchange gifts and feed our faces.  About 6 1/2 years ago I dragged Amy along to a meet up group that I had joined for stay at home moms (I had just had Aaron and I was looking forward to staying home with my kids and not going back to work…didn’t work out that way…sigh).  There were a lot of us in the group, but it wheedled down to about 9 or 10 of us and we’ve been good friends ever since.  We’ve all been through a lot together through the years…awesome, awesome, awesome group of women!

Happy You Accomplished today…

Amy and I completed some of our Christmas shopping today (and yesterday)!  We have officially purchased all the “NEED” gifts and all the “READ” gifts for the 6 kids.  We’ve got 2 of the “WANTS” and 4 of the 6 “WEAR” gifts.  We are really excited about the ‘need’ gifts.  We went to Canadian Tire and picked up 6 “Twister Saucers“.  We plan to do a lot of tobogganing this winter and yes, the children will need sleds if we want to do this!  We were proud of ourselves…it’s a fun gift too (we were worried that the need gifts would be boring for them).  The sweeter thing is that they were $4.99 each!

That’s my Sunday in a nutshell!  To read other “Sunday Night Chit-Chat” posts, please go check out My 1/2 Dozen Daily!!
