This and that

…and my 2nd weigh in with Weight Watchers.

This is one of those posts…a whole bunch of this and that.  As per usual, the weekend was busy.  Saturday was Amy’s birthday and so on Friday night we got together with our girlfriends for dessert.  It just so happens that 2 in our group share the same birthday ~ January 8th, so we got to celebrate both.  We went to a little café in Mississauga called “The Whip and Fork”.  They had really nice desserts and coffee/lattes/cappuccino and the prices are quite reasonable.  Two desserts, two latte’s and a tip was $13.00.   We used the money in the ‘everything else’ jar to pay for it.  We are definitely going to go back there.  I almost lost it on the way home though…it was snowing, and heavily.  There was already 2 inches on the road.  I started out on the highway, but had to get off because even in the slow lane and going 70 kmh people were riding up my tail and trying to rush me.  I am NOT the most confident driver when I am in the snow and I get a little panicky when other drivers try to rush me.  So I went and took a less traveled road, where I could go at my own speed and not impede anyone.  It took over an hour to get home, but we got home safely.

Saturday was Amy’s birthday.  We planned to go out and eat on Saturday night, but plans got postponed until Sunday lunch.  On Sunday we went to Alice Fazooli’s for lunch and my step-daughter Melissa and her boyfriend took the 4 boys to see “Tangled” in 3D.  They all loved it!

Today was weigh-in day at WW.  I am down 1 more pound for a total of 4.6 pounds in 2 weeks.  Not bad, considering I ate a lot on Sunday!!  My new attitude is that any week with a loss is a good week!

Saturday ~ Curried Meat Loaf, Roasted Potatoes, Salad*

Sunday ~ Rotini with Vegetable/Meatball Sauce

Monday ~ Creamy Chicken Thighs, Quinoa, Veggies

Tuesday ~ Swiss Steak over brown rice, veggies

Wednesday ~ Cabbage, Potato, and Carrot Soup, Homemade Bread

Thursday ~ Balsamic Chicken with Mushrooms, Mashed Potatoes, Cauliflower

Friday ~ Peameal Bacon, Scrambled Eggs, Toast, and Fruit Salad

  1. Congrats on losing another pound! You are right! Any week that you lose is a great week, even if you just stay the same some weeks that is better then gaining. You are making the change that is needed to become healthier and that is what matters the most!
