Good morning! Well, we survived the March Break and all the kids that go to school were back this morning. Well, all except for Andrew, who goes in today to get fitted for his new orthotics. Andrew, like many autistic children, walks on his tip-toes, A LOT. This causes a lot of problems for the muscles in his legs and causes weak ligaments. Hence, he has bilateral pronation, which is a turning outward of the foot at the ankle, also known as flat feet. He’s been without them for a while because he grew out of his old ones, and insurance will only pay for these things every 3 years. Yeah, I know, it’s ridiculous to pay only every three years for a CHILD! So, I had to save up for the $450 cost of these things.

So this week, we’re back to the grind…everything starts up again…swimming lessons for 4 kids, Cubs and Beavers, which means I am a taxi driver again. It was nice to have a break, but it’s going to be harder to get my workouts in. I am going to have to start going to bed early and getting up early to work on the Gazelle.
Last night I watched the sneak peek on ABC of “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution“. It was fantastic. Last night was a one hour sneak peek and Friday night will be the 2 hour premiere, it starts at 8pm EDT this week and then on subsequent weeks it will be on at 9 pm. I watched many episodes of Jamie’s School Dinners and he transformed the way a lot of schools in the UK prepared their food. He’s got his work cut out for him in Huntington, West Virginia…they are very resistant to change. I think he can do it! I can’t wait to see the next episode on Friday…the one last night had me crying!
