Menu Plan Monday ~ March 15, 2010

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  It’s that time again…Menu Plan Monday.  Please go check out I’m An Organizing Junkie for hundreds more menus!

Sunday ~ Minestrone Macaroni

Monday ~ Omelet Roll, Sausage, Hashbrowns

Tuesday ~ Key Lime Chicken, Rice, and Veggies

Wednesday ~ Hamburgers and Salad

Thursday ~ Octoberfest Sausage Soup, Bread

Friday ~ Chicken Pot Pie with Biscuits

Saturday ~ Roast Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings ***

***We have a big turkey that Shane’s mum gave us from her freezer a few weeks ago, we’re doing not much of anything this weekend, so we’re going to do it up!  I love turkey dinner.  If there are any recipes that you want to hear more about, just let me know and I will post them on my recipe page!

It’s March Break and I am taking Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday off this week to do some things with the kids.  We’re not sure yet, but I might take them all to the $2.99 theatre to see The Princess and the Frog one of the days.

I am also writing my will…eek!  I go and meet with the lawyer on Wednesday and hopefully get it written up.  It’s a little bit more involved as I need a Henson Trust for Andrew.  If you have a child who is classified disabled in Ontario (and a few other provinces), the Henson Trust is a MUST.

Hope everyone has a great week!

    • Ok, well, it’s really easy and we don’t have a recipe per-say. We cut up cooked chicken in cubes and put it in the bottom of an 8X8 glass baking dish…add any frozen veggies you might have…today I used frozen peas and hash brown potatoes. Cut up some onion, celery and carrot. Mixed that all in the dish. Then take a can of cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom works well) and spice it up with some garlic, pepper and salt. Pour it over the top evenly. I then mixed up bisquick with some milk and rolled out the dough, cut out biscuits and placed them on top. I baked it in a 375 oven until the biscuits were a golden brown. Sorry I don’t have a more formal recipe for ya…it’s something Amy just makes up out of her head.

  4. We had Hamburgers last night. It was a pleasant change of pace.

    Your menu plan sounds delicious.

I really enjoy MPM because I’m able to get loads of recipe ideas.

Just another reason for loving blogging.

Well, I’ve got to get back to some window shopping on QVC. They have a cute gnome on right now.
