You better watch out…

Christmas Eve is finally here!  The kids are bouncing off walls in anticipation of the big guy in the red suit.  We’ve made our own little Christmas Eve tradition here at our household.  The kids get to open one present.  That present is always some sort of snuggly pajamas.  They will put them on and all cuddle up on the couch to listen to “T’was the Night Before Christmas”.  We’re hoping that Nanny Jane will read it tonight while she’s here for dinner (a lovely feast, courtesy the Mandarin, lol).  Then they will all scurry off to bed, and most likely the 9-year-olds will be up 2 or 3 more times, trying to catch a glimpse of all that might be in store for them tomorrow morning.

We also spend a lot of time on Christmas Eve tracking Santa’s flight across the world.  NORAD certainly outdoes itself every year and the kids just love it.  You can check out videos of his visit or you can track his every move with Google Earth.  If you haven’t checked it out, now is the time to do so.

Since we won’t be around to blog in the next few days of frenzy, we would like to extend our warmest wishes for the Christmas Season.  Wishing all the best to our family, friends, fellow bloggers,  and readers for a healthy, and happy, 2010! I will leave you with a quote from one of my favourite bloggers.

“2010 is our year, I can feel it.  The year when all of our dreams come true – even the ones we don’t know about yet.”

Merry Christmas from our home to yours
